കൂടുതൽ ഒന്നും ആലോചിക്കാനില്ല. സൈദ് പറഞ്ഞു, ഞാൻ ഇവിടെത്തന്നെ തുടരുകയാണ്. ഞാൻ അവിടുത്തെ വിട്ട് എവിടേക്കും പോകുന്നില്ല. അങ്ങ് എനിക്ക് ഉമ്മയും ഉപ്പയും എല്ലാമെല്ലാമാണ്. ഒരിക്കലും പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കാത്ത മറുപടി കേട്ട് ഹാരിസയും സഹോദരനും അത്ഭുതപ്പെട്ടു. ഇതെന്തൊരാശ്ചര്യം? അവർ ചോദിച്ചു. മോനേ, മോനെന്താണീ പറയുന്നത്. നീ ഉമ്മയെയും ഉപ്പയേയും വിട്ട് അടിമയായി ജീവിക്കാനാണോ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നത്. സ്വന്തം വീട്ടിനേക്കാളും കുടുംബത്തേക്കാളും അടിമത്തമാണോ തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നത്. ഇതെന്ത് പുതുമ? അതേ ഉപ്പാ, ഈ വ്യക്തിത്വത്തെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് ഞാൻ എവിടേക്കും വരില്ല. ഈ വ്യക്തിത്വത്തിൽ നിന്ന് വരും നാളുകളിൽ ചിലതെല്ലാം ഞാൻ പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്, സൈദ് പൂർത്തിയാക്കി.
ഇത്രമേൽ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്ന ഒരാളിൽ നിന്ന് എങ്ങനെ എന്റെ മകനെ ഞാൻ അടർത്തി മാറ്റും. ഹാരിസ തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞു. സൈദിന്റെ പ്രത്യാശയും പ്രതിപത്തിയും ഒരിക്കൽ കൂടി ബോധ്യപ്പെട്ട മുത്തുനബിﷺ അവന്റെ കരം കവർന്നു. നേരേ കഅബയുടെ അങ്കണത്തിലേക്ക് നടന്നു. ഹാരിസയും കഅബും അവരെ അനുഗമിച്ചു. ഖുറൈശീ പ്രമുഖരുടെ സാന്നിധ്യത്തിൽ മുത്ത് നബിﷺ ഇങ്ങനെയൊരു പ്രഖ്യാപനം നടത്തി. "പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട നാട്ടുകാരേ.. ഖുറൈശീ കുടുംബമേ.. ഇവൻ സൈദ്, ഹാരിസയുടെ പുത്രൻ. ഞാൻ ഇവനെ ദത്തു പുത്രനായി പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുന്നു. എന്റെ അനന്തര സ്വത്തിൽ അവനും അവന്റെ അനന്തര സ്വത്തിൽ ഞാനും അവകാശിയായിരിക്കും. അക്കാലത്തെ പ്രധാന വിജ്ഞാപനങ്ങൾ കഅബയുടെ ചാരത്ത് വെച്ചാണ് നടക്കുക. മക്കയിലെ പ്രധാനികൾ ഒത്തു കൂടുന്നതും കാര്യങ്ങൾ ചർച്ച ചെയ്യുന്നതും കഅബയുടെ അങ്കണത്തിൽ വെച്ചായിരുന്നു.
ഹാരിസക്കും കഅബിനും ആശ്വാസമായി. സൈദ് ഇന്നു മുതൽ അടിമയല്ല 'അൽ അമീൻ' ന്റെ പുത്രനാണ്. ഏതായാലും മകനെ വേർപിരിക്കാൻ കഴിയില്ല. അവർ തമ്മിലുള്ള സ്നേഹത്തിന്റെ അളവും ഗാഢതയും മനസ്സിലാക്കി കഴിഞ്ഞു. മകനെ മക്കയിൽ ഏൽപ്പിച്ച് അവർ നാട്ടിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങി. മുത്തുനബിയുംﷺ സൈദും അവരെ യാത്രയാക്കി. മകനെ ഒപ്പം കൊണ്ടുപോകാനായില്ലെങ്കിലും സുരക്ഷിത കരങ്ങളിലാണെന്ന ആശ്വാസത്തോടെയാണവർ നാട്ടിലെത്തിയത്. കുടുംബത്തിൽ പോയി വിവരങ്ങൾ പങ്കുവെച്ചു. കേട്ടവർക്കും വേറെ ഒന്നും പറയാനുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല. പിന്നീടവർ ഇടക്കിടെ മക്കയിൽ വന്നു. കുടുംബത്തോടൊപ്പം മകനെ സന്ദർശിച്ചു മടങ്ങി.
സൈദ് മുത്ത് നബി ﷺ യുടെ തണലിൽ വളർന്നു. പ്രവാചക പ്രഭുവിന്റെ മുന്നേറ്റങ്ങൾക്കൊപ്പം സൈദും പടവുകൾ കയറി. അന്ത്യ പ്രവാചകരുടെ അരങ്ങും അടുക്കളയും അടുത്തറിയുന്ന ഒരു നല്ല സാക്ഷിയായി ചരിത്രത്തിൽ സൈദ്(റ) കടന്നു വന്നു. പ്രവാചകരുടെ പ്രബോധനത്തിന്റെ ആദ്യ നാളുകളിൽ തന്നെ ഇസ്‌ലാം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു. പിതാവ് ഹാരിസയും ഇസ്‌ലാമിലേക്ക് വന്നു. തുടർന്നും പ്രവാചകരെ നിഴൽ പോലെ പിന്തുടർന്ന സൈദ്(റ) സൗഭാഗ്യങ്ങൾ നേടി. വിശുദ്ധ ഖുർആനിൽ പേര് പറയപ്പെട്ട ഏക സ്വഹാബി(പ്രവാചക അനുചരൻ) എന്ന സ്ഥാനം ലഭിച്ചു.
പ്രവാചകത്വ പ്രഖ്യാപനത്തിന് മുമ്പും ശേഷവും നബിﷺ യോട് അടുത്തിടപഴകിയ അപൂർവ്വം ആളുകളിൽ ഒരാളാണ് സൈദ്(റ). മുത്ത് നബിﷺയുടെ സ്വഭാവം, ജീവിതം, പെരുമാറ്റം തുടങ്ങിയുള്ള വ്യക്തിത്വപരമായ കാര്യങ്ങൾ അറിയാനുള്ള ആധികാരിക സ്രോതസ്സുകളിൽ ഒന്നായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം.
സന്ദർഭവശാൽ നബി ജീവിതത്തിന്റെ ധന്യ മുഹൂർത്തങ്ങൾക്കൊപ്പം പരീക്ഷണത്തിന്റെ നാളുകളിലും സൈദ്(റ) സാക്ഷിയും സാന്നിധ്യവും ചിലപ്പോൾ കക്ഷിയുമായി. നബി ചരിത്രവായനയിൽ തുടർന്നും ഭാഗ്യവാനായ ഈ സ്വഹാബി കടന്നുവരും. കുടുംബ ജീവിതത്തിന്റെ സൗന്ദര്യത്തിലും യുദ്ധക്കളത്തിലെ ശൗര്യത്തിലും സൈദി(റ)നിടമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
ലോക ചരിത്രത്തിൽ തന്നെ ഒരു വ്യക്തിത്വത്തിന്റെ മഹത്വം അടയാളപ്പെടുത്താൻ ഇത്തരമൊരു സംഭവം അപൂർവ്വ മായിരിക്കും. സൈദ്(റ) എവിടെ വരെ എത്തി എന്ന് പിന്നീട് നാം വായിക്കും. മുത്തുനബിﷺയുടെ ഇടപെടലിന്റെ മറ്റൊരധ്യായത്തിലേക്കാണ് നാം ഇനി സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നത്.

There is nothing more to think about. Zaid said I am staying here. I am not leaving you and going anywhere. You are everything to me; mother and father.
Harisa and his brother were surprised to hear the answer, they never expected. What !! they asked. What are you talking about? Do you prefer to leave your mother and father and live as a slave? Choosing slavery over your home and family. What a surprise! Yes my father, I will never leave this person. I am expecting some miracles from this great person in future. Zaid finished. How can I take my son away from someone who loves him so much? Harisa realised.
Once again convinced of Zaid's hope and obedience, the Prophetﷺ hold his hand and walked to the courtyard of the holy Ka'aba. Harisa and Ka'ab followed them. In the presence of the Quraish leaders, the Prophetﷺ made this announcement: "Dear people... Quraish family. This is Zaid, the son of Haritha. I declare him as my adopted son. He will inherit me and I also will inherit him. The important announcements of that time used to be made in the shadow of the Ka'aba. The leaders of Mecca used to gather and discuss matters in the courtyard of the holy Ka'aba.
Harisa and Ka'ab are relieved that Zaid is no longer a slave and is the son of 'Al Ameen'. In any case, they cannot separate their son from Al Ameen. They have realized the depth and extent of love between them. Harisa and Ka'ab left their son in Mecca and returned to their country. The Prophetﷺ and Zaid sent them off to their country. Although they could not take their son with them, they reached home with the comfort that he is in safe hands. Went to the family and shared the information. Those who heard had nothing else to say. Later the family of Zaid often came to Mecca and visited him.
Zaid grew up in the shadow of the Prophetﷺ. Zaid also climbed the ranks along with the status of the Prophetﷺ . Zaid came into history as a good witness who knew all metters related to the Prophetﷺ; family and public matters. Zaid declared Islam in the early days of the prophets' preaching. Father Harisa also came to Islam. Zaid continued to follow the Prophetﷺ like a shadow and achieved blessings. He was bestowed with the position of being the only Sahabi (companion of the Prophetﷺ) whose name is mentioned in the Holy Qur'an
Zaid was one of the rare people who was close to the Prophetﷺ before and after his declaration of Prophecy. He was one of the authentic sources of knowledge about the character, life and behavior of the Prophetﷺ. On occasions, along with the blessed moments of the Prophet's ﷺ life, in the days of trials, Zaid was a witness, present and sometimes a party. In the historical reading of the Prophetﷺ, this lucky follower will come many times. He had a place in the beauty of family life and bravery on the battlefield. Such an event would be rare in the history of the world to mark the greatness of a personality. Later we will read how far Zaid reached. Now we are moving to another chapter of the Prophet's ﷺ' intervention in public field.
